Abby's cast was taken off today... after only 2 weeks of wear... she was thrilled.. however was ready to choose a blue cast if needed.. no bike, trampoline or tumbling for another 2 weeks until we return for a follow-up visit... she will start therapy tomorrow to get that arm working again!!

Just about 4 weeks ago Abby fell while riding her scooter.... the handle fell off and she fell right on her elbow.. it was obvious it hurt her.. but she is so tough that she moved on.... 2 weeks later while at tumbling with her coach Lena.. Lena noticed someting was not right.. encouraged me to get it xrayed adn sure enough she had a fracture of the coroniod process of the elbow.. she got a full arm cast that day and had to wear it for 2 weeks.. she choose purple.. she of course could not wait ot go to Walgreens to get a silver Sharpie.. head to school and have it signed.. very exciting stuff.. not to mention it was her left elbow.. and being left handed this was sure to be a challenge?? well not for Abby.. she handled it better than i ever expected.. not to mention we were leaving for nicks soccer tournament in Destin in 8 days.. however.. while there the weather was terrible.. cloudy, windy very cool and storming 2 of the 4 days were were there... did not see the sun at all.. but good for Abby no one did any swimming... we had a great time.. stayed at the San Destin Resort.. Papa and Gagaw met us there.. Nicks Briarwood team lost 3 tied 1.. not a good tournament.. but it was fun all being together.. Chris stayed .. he had a food show.. of course as we were packing the car the sun came out!! ugh....
